PUBLIC ART STRATEGY

Inspired by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) plan of work, Futurecity’s 0 – 6 Stage public art commissioning methodology commences with ‘Stage 0 – Public Art Strategy’. The Public Art Strategy sets out a strategic framework for a series of permanent and / or temporary public art commissions to activate the selected site. This includes defining a curatorial vision and a series of public art projects, and recommending systems for managing stakeholder governance, project management delivery and establishing a legacy.  Since 2007, Futurecity has delivered Public Art Strategies for cultural destinations and districts, from Cambridge Biomedical Campus to the award-winning new Cancer Centre at Guy’s Hospital.
