Our latest exhibition launches at Foyles Gallery in London today: Growing the Future City by the Urban Research Unit, our ongoing collaboration with Grimshaw Architects.
As well as showcasing some solutions from both companies, the show asks questions about the densification of our cities: the need for architects to be ever more ingenious in their ability to ‘pack things in’ as urbanisation continues to dramatically increase; and how to ensure ‘liveability’, opportunity and creativity during this process.
We want to hear your thoughts, too. We’ve designed an interactive wall in the gallery space to give visitors a voice on these topics, and we’re cultivating the conversation online. One of the six topics per week, and first up: greening. Please tweet your ideas in response to the question:
What would you do to make your city greener?
– and use the #growingmycity and #greening hashtags. We’ll include responses on the board and highlight the best ones in our end-of-show roundup.
