On Friday 29th May 2015, Growing the Future City will officially open to the public; inviting enquiry and debate about the future of London as the population continues to increase.  The six-week long exhibition is co-curated by Grimshaw and place-making agency, Futurecity, who share a strong history of collaboration through their joint projects and Urban Research Unit programme of panel discussions.

Growing the Future City will explore six city growth themes around navigating, working, playing, learning, greening, and housing, with ideas for the future as well as real-world projects demonstrating ways in which sustainability and culture can be woven into the urban fabric.

Visitors to Growing the Future City will also be encouraged to contribute their own ideas about how we can make cities truly liveable. The exhibition also forms the backdrop for the final Urban Research Unit panel discussion which will be held on 18th June.

Growing the Future City is part of the London Festival of Architecture 2015.
