Transport connects distant places, supporting the sharing of ideas, culture, innovation and beyond. From roads to rail, water to sky, humans are always evolving technologies to connect us to other people and places. A conscious approach to transport and infrastructure won’t just increase the physical connections we have between our urban places, but will enhance the experience through public art, performance and cultural expression.
Futurecity has pioneered creative transport and infrastructure, from our ground-breaking Crossrail ‘Culture Line’, a permanent world-class, line-wide art commissioning programme, to Richard Wilson RA’s 78-meter Slipstream spanning Heathrow Airport’s Terminal 2. We have delivered major artworks in King’s Cross St. Pancras Station and, most recently, in London Bridge Station, with artist Mark Titchner.
