The Slipstream website for Heathrow Airport received Gold at the 2014 W³ Awards last month. The website built on Tumblr came out top in the ‘Website Features – Visual Appeal’ category.
The site documents the story of Royal Academy artist Richard Wilson and the making and instillation of the Slipstream sculpture, all of which is housed in a custom built Tumblr, built and designed with tablet, desktop and mobile in mind.
You can also download an iBook which contains Tommy’s films, audio interviews, moveable 3D models and an extensive gallery of previously unseen images documenting Slipstream from inception to completion.
