Urban Research Unit: Playing in the Future City

‘Playing In the Future City’ was the fifth Urban Research Unit event of 2013. Moderated by 2014 AIANY President Lance Jay Brown, the event discussed the importance of play in everyday life. The panel included NYC DDC Commission David Burney, former Parks Commissioner Adrian Benepe, landscape Architect Signe Nielsen and Queens Museum Director Tom Finkelpearl. The panel explored ideas on the future of playing in New York and the different ways in which technology will effects playing in the ‘Future City’.
