In 2013, Futurecity has been appointed by The Crown Estate to develop a Cultural Strategy for their prestigious central London St James’s Market redevelopment. Surrounded by major cultural institutions such as the Royal Academy of Arts, the Institute of Contemporary Arts and the White Cube Gallery in Mason’s Yard, St James’s Market will form a new public square linking the Haymarket with Regent Street through partly pedestrianised streets.

In 2016, Futurecity has also curated a series of public artworks for St James’s Market. Renowned artist David Thorpe and leading design studios Studio Weave and Studio Swine have created unique installations for the space, drawing on the area’s historic reputation for master craftsmanship, contemporary art and best in class retail for inspiration.
