The winners of the NLA New London Awards were revealed on Tuesday 7th July 2015 at Guildhall. Over 130 projects across 16 categories were shortlisted, recognising the very best new and proposed architecture, planning and development in the capital.

Futurecity is delighted that Foyles, with architects Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands, is the winner of the ‘Retail’ category. Futurecity worked closely with Foyles and LDS to develop the Gallery at Foyles, a distinct space located on the fifth floor of the new flagship bookshop at 107 Charing Cross Road. Futurecity is also curating an ongoing programme of exhibition at the Gallery at Foyles.

Commendations were awarded to South Bank Tower, by Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates (KPF) for CIT Real Estate Partners LLP (‘Conservation and Retrofit’) and Keybridge House, by Allies and Morrison for British Telecommunications (‘Housing’).

Futurecity is proud to have contributed to both projects, as cultural placemaking consultants. Appointed by CIT, Futurecity conceived and curated ‘People & Places’, a cultural collaboration that revealed the rich character of the South Bank through a unique publication, exhibition and pamphlet. Futurecity has also delivered the cultural vision for Keybridge House by Mount Anvil, a new mixed-use scheme in Nine Elms.
