Futurecity has worked in partnership with residential developer Mount Anvil to curate and deliver a series of public art commissions across three of their new developments in London: Column by art collective Studio Swine at Lexicon, City Road, Untitled by jewellery designer Jo Hayes Ward at Queen’s Wharf (Riverside Studios), and Ecliptical Spheres by contemporary artist James Hopkins at Dollar Bay. These works contribute to Futurecity’s extensive portfolio of public artworks embedded into the fabric of the city.
Column by Studio Swine at Lexicon, City Road. Column is the art collective’s first permanent public artwork in London and their third commission curated by Futurecity.
The other commissions are Shirt, Tie, Pipe and Shoe and∞ Blue (Infinity Blue).
Untitled by fine jewellery designer Jo Hayes Ward at Queen’s Wharf (Riverside Studios), Hammersmith. Untitled is Hayes Ward’s first public realm commission and the first project at this architectural scale.
Ecliptical Spheres by contemporary artist James Hopkins at Dollar Bay, Canary Wharf. Ecliptical Spheres is a permanent sculptural artwork and his third commission curated by Futurecity. The other commissions are Playful Seating for Midsummer Lawn and Angled Ball.
