Whose voices should be at the table and what shape the table should be is a critical issue in the successful planning and management of cultural districts. This discussion goes to the heart of that issue and explores the respective roles of the community and its political representatives, commercial developers, artists and cultural institutions, business and other stakeholders. It will also explore the range of business models that sustain cultural districts and create the resources to animate and champion the public domain and ensure the sum is greater than the parts.
