Mark Davy, CEO and founder of Futurecity, and Mollie Dent-Brocklehurst, President of Pace Gallery, joined Ikkan Sanada, Founder & President of Ikkan Art International and TeamLab; and Hannes Koch, Co-founder & Director of Random International, to showcase the exciting new FuturePace partnership FuturePace at the UNFOLD Art Xchange conference in Dubai on the 19 March 2018. The panel features as part of a day of discussions around the subjects of Art, Real Estate and the Built Environment.
The partnership aims to create a ‘gallery without walls’, providing imaginative, site-specific contemporary art, embedded into infrastructure, architecture and urban landscapes. Their artists exist in a world where the interchange of disciplines is becoming the norm, working independently and in collaboration with other disciplines including architects, designers, landscape architects, engineers, community representatives, technologists and scientists, indeed with anyone interested in the idea of placing art in urban places.
The inaugaral UNFOLD Art XChange examines the new forces at play in the global art market. It explores emerging art scenes across and beyond the BRICS and its neighboring countries in Latin America, Africa, Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Asia and continues until 22nd March.
