Founder Mark Davy is a Research Fellow at the University of the Arts London and Futurecity have supported the production of Sean Croucher’s project, Happy Homeless Day.

Sean Croucher started interviewing men and women that were living rough in various parts of the city in 2012.  With their permission he recorded their stories on a hand held microphone and then made a few drawings of their faces in pen and ink. This endeavour turned into the project Happy Homeless Day, now supported by The Big Issue. His installation explores what it means to be homeless in a large urban space in the 21st century – in other words – London.

The Happy Homeless Day Instillation will be available for viewing as part of the LCC Sound Arts and Design final show taking place between the 3rd – 7th of June at Hotel Elephant.

Sean produced a film in collaboration with Youcef Khelli and Demetris Choco which tackles the resonant themes of homelessness in the urban space of London and the larger world around us.
