Futurecity Team celebrates International Women’s Day by joining the #EachforEqual campaign.
Our individual actions, conversations, behaviour and mindsets have an impact on our larger society. Collectively, we can make change happen and help create a gender equal world.
Futurecity’s Arts Team is proud to have curated ambitious artworks by women artists for the public realm across various scales and mediums.
From Mariele Neudecker’s “Hanging Gardens: Parallel Lives_1.39m, 9.78m, 22.59m, 30.79m, 37.26m, and 42.0m,” an audio-visual piece embedded within lifts to Gitta Gschwendtner’s “Genius Loci,” a striking yet discreet furniture scheme to Angela Bulloch’s “Radiance” light sculptures at the Cancer Centre at Guy’s Hospital. From “Infinity Blue,” an immersive 20-tonne breathing sculpture by Studio Swine at the Eden Project to “The Self-Playing Instrument of Water,” an embedded poem by an award-winning poet Alice Oswald in Kew Bridge.
