Adam Pendleton and David Adjaye, with support from FuturePace, present as finalists for the King Boston Memorial competition to commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King.
King imagines “standing at the beginning of time, with the possibility of taking a kind of general and panoramic view” and argues that “I don’t know what will happen now,” he says. “We’ve got some difficult days ahead. But it really doesn’t matter with me now, because I’ve been to the mountaintop.” [excerpt from Adjaye & Pendleton’s proposal]
