Hamdee Yusuf – Strategist at Futurecity, attended this year’s Festival of Place at Wembley Park – a development driven by Futurecity’s cultural and public art strategies. She attended the Festival of Place further to enhance her understanding of social value.
Hamdee said “Leslie Kern’s presentation struck a chord with me. Placemaking can be a powerful tool for reparations, addressing historical inequities and fostering a genuine sense of inclusion. Placemaking is more than urban beautification; it’s about creating inclusive places where all voices are valued, and people are actively involved in collaboratively shaping our cities”.
Hamdee is an experienced placemaker and urbanist who develops and delivers cultural placemaking strategies at Futurecity.
