Futurecity have been appointed by R&F Properties to set up comprehensive placemaking strategy for their One Nine Elms development site, which stands at the entrance to the Vauxhall Nine Elms Battersea Opportunity Area.  The project sits inside 106,300 square metres comprises two towers reaching 42 and 58 storeys in height and will include 437 homes and the first Vista hotel to open outside of China. It will also include more than 3,500 sq. ft of retail space and public realm.

The R&F Properties development; consists of a 56 storey City Tower, a separate 42 storey River Tower and a 173-room luxury hotel that will occupy the lower floors of the River Tower up to the 18th floor.

The project will culminate in two landmark residential towers – the tallest residential towers in Europe – linked together with a glazed bridge that will provide access to City Tower facilities. A brand new five-star hotel will include a luxury spa, ballroom, club house restaurant and karaoke bar above the hotel room floors. On completion, the development will provide more than 730,000 sq. ft of residential apartments, 267,000 sq. ft of hotel accommodation, 1,000 sq. ft of retail outlets. A large residential lounge and sky garden will be located on level 50 offering panoramic views of London across the River Thames.
