On 4 February 2020, Futurecity Partner Sherry Dobbin will be in Amsterdam, Netherlands at the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Europe Conference. As a key contributor to the “Including Culture in Development – A Step by Step Guide,” Dobbin will open the Creative Placemaking Forum together with Fabienne Nicholas (Contemporary Art Society).

Creative Placemaking Forum is one of the four new forums that focus on subject areas which ULI hopes to develop into its new European Product Councils to add to the eight councils already active in Europe. The addition of this forum is an important milestone in the recognition of cultural platemaking’s value in international property today. See the agenda for the forum here.

Dobbin’s session will explore the various typologies of cultural placemaking, the roles of the different stakeholders and methods of impact measurement, based on practical case studies.

The “Including Culture in Development” guide was launched in October 2019 at London City Hall. It is available to download here.
