‘Me. Here. Now.’, solo show by Mark Titchner at The Gallery at Foyles is curated by Futurecity and exhibits a large scale representation of Titchner’s London Bridge commission design in addition to a selection of the artist’s previous public realm works.

Me. Here. Now. in Stainer Street, London Bridge is a public artwork that associates the experience of travel and commuting with endurance, reflection and the potential for self-improvement. Titchner wanted to create a space for ‘a moment of self-reflection with our fellow travellers, those who we share our journeys with but whom we will never know.’

Mark Titchner’s work explores the tensions between the different belief systems that inform our society, be they religious, scientific or political. Focusing on an exploration of words and language, in recent years much of his production has been based in the public realm both in the UK and internationally.
