Futurecity have loaned a full-sized fibreglass prototype of Skystation to Turner Contemporary for their Seeing Round Corners exhibition from 21st May – 25th September. Situated at the entrance to the gallery, the sculpture is in the perfect location to contemplate the sea and the sky before venturing indoors. The prototype was previously on view at The Gallery at Foyles for Peter Newman’s 51°30’51”N 0°07’48”W exhibition.

Seeing Round Corners is the first UK exhibition to explore how artists have responded to the phenomenon of the circle, the disc or the sphere. This exhibition explores the ways in which artists have used this universal and recurring form, and the very idea of ‘roundness’. Seeing Round Corners showcases more than 100 works, presenting a variety of processes and media including painting, sculpture, film and photography, alongside design objects and historical artefacts.

We are thrilled to be involved and hope that you all make the trip to Margate this summer to visit Skystation at the Turner Contemporary.
