Futurecity on behalf of St James Group have developed ten key placemaking principles designed to embed culture into the Proposed White City Development. The placemaking strategy for White City looked at the idea of a series of ‘creative neighbourhoods’ where culture, community and commerce work together to define a unique identity or White City ‘Creative District’.  The well-documented history of White City has provided an inspirational set of ideas which can be applied to the designs of landscape, architecture and public art. These principles seek to underpin and support the commissioning, design and implementation of cultural opportunities across every phase of the Proposed Development.
