Strategy Associates wanted (London-based)

Futurecity is now recruiting freelance Associates to support the development of its Culture and Placemaking Strategy portfolio.

Positions are available for high level specialists in particular aspects of (formal or informal) culture in urbanism (e.g. meanwhile/interim use, technology, creative consultation, outdoor arts, etc.). We are also open to approaches from ‘all rounders’, though would expect these to be able to highlight several areas of particular specialism.

All candidates should be able to demonstrate:

  • a good grasp of the relationship between arts and placemaking
  • an ability to communicate well in person and on paper
  • demonstrable strategic experience
  • research skills
  • interest in cultural policy
  • ability to work both in teams and independently
  • good spoken and written English
  • eligibility to work in the UK
  • ability to work in London on a day to day basis if required

As a Futurecity Strategy Associate, you will work in a very creative, culturally enterprising and fast-moving environment. You’ll benefit from opportunities to transform your CV through involvement in major cultural projects in the commercial sector. We will provide access to, and support in the use of, our methods and tools, and you’ll be working amongst our friendly, experienced and high-calibre team.

Please send to tim [at] futurecity.co.uk a 1 page CV (or link to your LinkedIn profile), and 400 word (max) outlining what you can offer Futurecity. Please also indicate your current day rates, and your availability (including earliest start date and other non-negotiable commitments). We’d also welcome link(s) to any relevant projects you’ve been involved with.

We will contact applicants in whom we are interested for an initial 15 minute phone interview; followed by a meeting at our office in Clerkenwell. Unfortunately, volume of interest means we cannot RSVP or provide feedback to unsuccessful applicants.
