Futurecity Cambridge
Futurecity opened a Cambridge office in 2010 to support a bespoke approach to commissioning public art as part of a strategy to work with the city’s unique offer across the arts, culture, science and technology to create authentic, innovative new places in the city’s areas of urban change and growth. They have delivered 23 projects across Cambridge, commissioning 32 artists on 14 project sites across 150 hectares of development land. Futurecity believe in the use of the arts to reinforce the city’s international profile in the areas of culture, education, science, technology and sustainability and the importance of the arts as part of a wider placemaking agenda for the city’s areas of urban change and growth.
