Futurecity has been appointed by The Crown Estate to develop a Cultural Strategy for their prestigious central London St James’s Market redevelopment. Surrounded by major cultural institutions such as the Royal Academy of Arts, the Institute of Contemporary Arts and the White Cube gallery in Mason’s Yard, St James’s Market will form a new public square linking the Haymarket with Regent Street through partly pedestrianised streets.

Futurecity are exploring a series of contemporary embedded art commissions to animate and support the activation of this hidden gem within the Crowns St James’s portfolio. The appointed Artists will work with the design team including Make Architects to develop and deliver their proposals.
