Billboard Project
Nov 16 2011
Commissioned by Creative Partnerships in 2006, Futurecity worked with a team including structural engineers Atelier One, Channel 4 Talent and three Local Authorities, to deliver the ‘Billboard’ media lab, a cultural and regeneration project. Funders included Arts Council England, East.

The Lab acted as a film studio, place for consultation about planned local regeneration, and as a workshop and exhibition space for the Billboard project. It toured to schools in the Thames Gateway.

Tate Modern used the Lab in June 2007 as part of the Architecture Foundation’s DEBATE LONDON, where young people from across London came together in the Lab as part of the ‘Generation London’ Youth Debate.
